We went parading, actually more like fire trucking since more than half the parade was LOUD fire trucks and ambulances. After a few rounds of sirens and horns all the kids were crying and parents trying to spare their children’s ear drums. And there were still at least 12 more fire trucks to go. Of course it was hilarious and had me rolling in the street.
Luckily there was heaps of candy thrown to make up for our deafness. The parade was OK, there was lots of Hallelujah groups and really boring cars with really boring people (ex. the mayor). After awhile everybody stopped waving back and Ben was in the street yelling at the sweet World War 2 Veterans……. “ I want some candy!” We’ve raised him well.
We had a great day, Ben loved ever minute of it and it once again makes us thankful we live in this country where we can enjoy parades and meet such great neighbors. And thankful for our Veterans, who next year need to throw some candy.
Kisses XOXO,
